White people aren’t oppressed, no matter how many times someone calls us crackers or mayonnaise. The “lovely” thing about being in a place of power is that we have the ability to walk away from these types of comments, we have the ability to be clueless about oppressive structures, while those in marginalized groups don’t have that advantage.
